Garlic bulb questions

Hi there!

I started to grow garlic a few years ago. I just pulled my second crop yesterday. I have noticed that some bulbs have a yellowish tinge and some black on them. I don’t know what this means and am wondering if anyone here has any ideas.

I think it is just soil under the sleeve.

I don't like the look of that first pic, looks like mold from excess moisture. I've been growing garlic for over 20 years now and I never have any that look like that. Are you watering over the last couple of weeks before harvest?
