I got my wife this garden cart with a seat to make gardening more comfortable.

I've gone through a couple of those...even before I got "old"... Very practical.

This is a video that really hits home the importance of exercise. Notice he speaks of all forms of exercise, not just one and he even included the importance of working on Fast Twitch muscle fibers.

What I really like is at about the 13-minute point he mentions something I've been trying to tell my friends and family. No matter how good your diet, it does no good without exercise and exercise isn't just one thing, like walking.

Too many people I know think all they need is a good diet and walking. It doesn't work that way, because Mother Nature got us by the balls -- she forces us to use it or lose it. Don't hate the player, hate the game

Yep, walked yesterday, chopped logs today, walking from Waterloo to St Thomas' tomorrow for an eye appointment, that will add to my day's worth, might even pay a visit after.

Don't need gym membership , don't need workout equipment although I have it, don't need videos to show me how to exercise... all I need is Meadowlark Ranch with the gardens and the back 35 that I'm in the process of cleaning up and fencing. Every day offers challenges.

I do need to get one of those pedometers to measure steps, and in fact just ordered one from Amazon.

Why live the country life? ...exercise and fitness are primary reasons for me.

Most modern phones do this, and at our age it's not a bad idea to carry one, just in case. I actually find it is slightly better than a pedometer, they tend to reset themselves by accidentally pushing the button.

I have a small walking path going around my yard and walk it every day. With 35 acres, you could create a walking path for your old age that would be awesome.

Exactly @oneeye in my case I'm building a barbed wire fence all around it and creating walking paths in the process....and I am in my "old age" currently.

My old tech flip phone doesn't as far as I know especially since it never leaves my desk drawer.

My wife constantly urges me to carry that old flip phone but somehow it never seems to make it out of the drawer.

I used to go hunting all the time but I need someone with me and I don’t drive.

Try to find someone that will get up 3AM ,drive to middle of nowhere and walk to more of the middle of nowhere. Set until 11 or 12 then do it again in the afternoon.

Can’t be done. I do good to go fishing.

Do some but not all of that.

Chinese massages at the mall.

My muscles need physical manipulation to unknot and let the blood flow through.

I always walk out without the limp I walk in with.

Lots of salt pills now too.

It’s more fun than going to the store and yes I eat all. Ate couple meals of Opossum which was very good as usual.

Oh I eat meat but can’t have any from the store.

Hard work is its own reward.

Not having to go to work for a living every day means I have more time, so I can do just as much work, but take longer doing it, less stress, same amount of exercise, but spread out so it doesn't kill you.
I knew there would be a bit of walking today, my phone tells me 10, 800 steps.
