Hi,

I've got a Gardenia which I purchased in April this year, it is in a Lechuza self-watering pot - It's been fine throughout summer other than the odd mealy bug - it's been inside all that time infront of my south facing sliding door.

I noticed it was weeping a little around october/november time, so I added some azelea fertlizer and within 24 hours it wasn't happy so I flushed it out - Since then it's been slowly getting worse, so I repotted it last week with fresh ericaceous compost mixed with perlite in attempt to save it.

I've also now put it under a Sansi 36w grow light since monday at approx 6-8 hours per day. Is there anything else I can do to remedy this before it becomes a twig?

Hi, It's this one (Cubico 30)

It basically has a reservoir in the bottom, then a layer of substrate/pon/gravel and then the soil.

Thanks

Thanks Tetters. (y)

I don't think it's getting enough water, the compost looks very dry. My daughter-in-law tried a similar system last year for tomatoes, the water wasn't penetrating the soil properly and she had to hand water.
