Hello everyone!
I just want to say thanks in advance! So I recently got a gardenia plant like 3 weeks ago.And it is quite a young plant 8” tall. I live in zone 7-7B, NYC, so the gardenia is in a pot due to lack of backyard space. The plant arrived fine but the moment I repot it into a 2 gallon container, I noticed that it started to have yellow leaves. And I would removed them so the plant could focus on establishing its roots. But I noticed that everyday, it would have new yellow leaves. I also noticed a few days ago that the yellow leaves started having some brown spots!
I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I know gardenias don’t like to sit in water so I try to water it only once every 3 days, and keep it in partial shade. I have it acidic fertilizer early on. Please help!
