The last one reminds me of a true story.

Over the years my wife and I have been frequent visitors to Windsor shopping with our daughter, who lives nearby, we were once walking along the road to the left of centre at the top of this photo, when a party of American visitors were coming out of an hotel in that road.

We heard one woman say to another. "Why did they build the castle so close to the shops?"

For any non-UK readers, who are unfamiliar with it, that's just one end of Windsor Castle.
It's actually quite big.
