Love that sanctuary room, Java Guy!
I often have to drive quite a bit...today 20 miles to pick up a key for the country house I'm painting, then about 20 miles east (taking puppy to the vet), then back home, then 30 miles out to the country house to work. Phew. I think they've got most of the roads cleared pretty well by now.

Hey Esther, I live in Michigan, about 30 min northwest of Toledo. Funny how some houses and neighborhoods can look so similar.

Thanks all for the kind words regarding the room I hide from the winter at. If my eyes fall on green no matter which way I look, I am happy.

Be careful on those country roads Beth. They are the last to be cleared as I'm sure you are well aware and not good places to have accidents.

Here is another snow picture. This is from this morning in my driveway.

We very rarely have snow where I live and think I'd probably go crazy living with it for months on end. Lovely pictures though Java Guy. (y)

Java Guy, I am a pretty ninja snow driver; it doesn't phase me out at all. I used to drive a semi cross country. ;)
They'd actually done a great job of clearing the expressway and the country roads. Took humungous puppy straight to work with me after his vet visit; he had fun plowing around in the snowy fields and woods behind the house and eating deer poop.

Hey @Java Guy , I think that some mid-west homes perhaps looked the same if build in that era, my folks house was a farm house on about 45 acres. P

Hey @Pat , where abouts in Ohio are you from, I lived in Macedonia.

@Beth_B , I am good on snow also, its everyone else I worry about. two years ago I dived my car into the front yard of a house to avoid a run away SUV, would have be smashed, he kept on sliding. And I avoid any highways, taking side roads when I can.
