I grew up in the Northeast, but lived for a year in Florida when I was 28 y/o. What a great climate. Yes, it gets hot, during the summer, but you are always in an air-conditioned house, car, store, work place, or at a pool or the beach! And, I never felt it too uncomfortable compared to the summer humidity of the Northeast...which is like living in someone's arm pit! 
How I wound up settling down in the Pocono Mountains is beyond me....cold, snowy, and a nasty habit of turning a bright sunny winter day into an overcast one around 10am and back to sunny one at 4pm. I think it has something to do with the thermal currents as they pass over the mountains.

I moan constantly about our dire weather but compared to this young girl who was killed nearby and others seriously injured in this horrific crash my problems are small indeed; Bron and I are truly saddened for this young girl and her friends and family as we are for others injured in the crash. The air ambulance has been out again today within 100 yards of the previous crash this time a man flown to Leeds General infirmary with head injury. All the traffic calming in the world will never stop these accidents happening.
