I grew up in the Northeast, but lived for a year in Florida when I was 28 y/o. What a great climate. Yes, it gets hot, during the summer, but you are always in an air-conditioned house, car, store, work place, or at a pool or the beach! And, I never felt it too uncomfortable compared to the summer humidity of the Northeast...which is like living in someone's arm pit! :p How I wound up settling down in the Pocono Mountains is beyond me....cold, snowy, and a nasty habit of turning a bright sunny winter day into an overcast one around 10am and back to sunny one at 4pm. I think it has something to do with the thermal currents as they pass over the mountains.
