False Aralia Help

My false aralia's leaves are darkening and curling downwards. It's in indirect light over to the side of my bedroom near but away from my window. Is it getting too much sun? Not enough? I mist it almost daily and water it when the top soil starts getting dry. Am I overwatering it? Underwatering it? Should I be watering it from the bottom and letting the roots drink the water it needs? What am I doing wrong? Help!

It probably is not getting enough light. It should be within 3’ of a window. It prefers to be moist most of the time but it can get dry down about an inch or so. Watch out for spider mites.
