Estuary visit

No work on today so popped down the Estuary for a bit of a forage:)

Not the sunniest of days, but the rain held off.

These apples weren't as tasty as they looked, but did find a few on another tree that were good.

Had one with a few late Blackberries.

Most of the Samphire was still quite small, but did find a few decent sized plants.

What do you do with the Sampfire Zigs? As it is with the apples I'm thinking edible.

What do you do with the Sampfire Zigs? As it is with the apples I'm thinking edible.

Normally wash the debris off (it grows in the intertidal zone) then boil it for 10 mins and dip it in butter. Melts in your mouth and tastes like a salty sea cactus :)

But with this lot I posted it straight up to a girl i'm in love with who lives 300 miles away :love:

Hope she gets it this time, posted her some chocolate, she got the card, but the envelope had been slit open and the chocolate was gone :cautious:

Me too, it was a special chocolate from the last restaurant we were together in :(

She got the rose bush I just sent her though :)

It's a Jaques Cartier, apparently one of the best scented roses ever :)
