It works fine as a training tool for the olympic shotput. Do not under any circumstances believe what it says even though you think it "may" be right. I even have a digital push in probe meter that is headed 30 feet deep below a 40 foot landfill that will be buried beside the analog one.

Spend a few dollars and get one of those vivosun pH pens and do a 1:1 test and calibrate it about every test.

I have been given numerous of these things and moisture meters too over the years. They have all ended up being shot during target practice. Most are just the right size for a 100 yard target with a .22. This is the best thing I can think of to say about them.

I used to use one when I had an interiorscape business. I used it to see how far down it was dry……. by looking at the tip when I pulled it out of the soil. The numbers didn’t correspond to the status.

Your meter is showing a 5.4 pH. That is blueberry territory. You wouldn't be growing spinach or chard in that soil if it were true. I saw another post you had. Another clue is that your soil is mostly manure. Not going to be that acidic and it more than likely is basic.

The "fertility" probably just hinges off of EC which basically just tells you what is dissolved in water or salts. It doesn't know if the total is nitrates, calcium, or sodium but if there is alot of salts, it is "fertile", which isn't the case and can be bad in some cases. Vivosun has a PH and TDS meter combo. I think the main thing is the probe doesn't contact the soil/water content correctly every time so you get abnormal readings and the probe oxidizes so the readings can be off from that factor.
