Hi all. This is first time I’m growing cherry trees. I’m in PNW. planted these in the spring of this year. Few months back, deer browsed the leaves and ate off some branches. I put a cage around them afterwards. And now the leaves are showing as if being eaten by some insects.

On the last picture, I see some slug like caterpillars or something. Anyone know what’s going on with them? Or these can be ignored since the leaves will be falling off soon because winter is coming?

You may need to spray dormant oil on the trees to keep the bugs off it. Your tree is planted in the wrong location.
