Hi! Thank you for taking the time to read my thread. I am just wondering if is it possible to grow a money tree inside the house or does it need sunlight? I really want a plant inside our home because it adds beauty to the surroundings. I think it makes everything prettier and lighter somehow, my grandmother just died last month and my mom is still grieving. If you have any other indoor plant suggestions, please comment below. Thank you and more blessings.

Of course! I see that you are from the Philippines as well. We have many money trees inside and outside our house because we believe that they bring luck. They are very easy to grow as long as you water them every day and let them stay under the sun for a few hours every day. :)

I have never heard of a money tree. That sounds so cool. Does it have leaves that look like money or something?

I'm not even familiar with money trees..I'll have to look into that now, you've got me curious. All the better if you can actually have moderate success growing it indoors as well, I might even give it a try :).

Yes. I believe that too. My late grandfather is pure Chinese but it seems that I'm the only one who believes in lucky charms  The rest of my family and relatives are more Catholic. I often hear them say "Just pray, go to Church", the typical Filipino Christian. I do pray but I also believe in feng shui and I don't see anything wrong with that, neither do they it's just that they don't take it seriously.

It's quite popular here in Asia. Specifically around business establishments specially if the owner is of Chinese descent but now even non Chinese use them too and no, they don't look anything like money. They look more like clustered leaves. I have no idea why they named it money tree, perhaps they believe it is a lucky plant or something.
