Calathea Help!!

My Calathea plant leaves are getting dry and crunchy spots on them, but it is still consistently growing new leaves. I try to give it humidity (humidity is down right now obviously because of winter) once a day putting the essential oil diffuser (no oils - only water) on next to it once a day, I let it dry out a bit before watering (probably every one or two weeks), gets very much indirect light (light comes in through the window it is next to, but it's not direct at all). Any help would be appreciated!
