Not sure about that Tetters

Looking for the best starting mix for cactus seeds.

Suggestions are appreciated.

Thankyou.

I usually use a mineral base with some leaf mold passed through a very fine sieve.

Can cactus grow indoors with little light

Not really, they've evolved to grow in extreme conditions in the desert so they won't do well in low light. They tend to grow too long and thin and then fall over.

Perfect. Thankyou very much.

My pleasure :)

I've started putting a layer of single ply toilet tissue on top and putting the seeds on that. Makes it easier to see the seeds and when they germinate they put their roots straight through.

Beautiful collection you have. Inspiring! :)

Your technique of using a single sheet of tissue paper, such that the cactus seedlings stay close to the surface, is very clever.

Thank you @lifegardener :)

I pinched the idea off another Youtuber but without putting my fingers through the tissue by not wetting it first :D
