It's really coming along! I quite like the slight wobble to it, it looks quirky :) You'll be running your own shop before you know it!

Just Thought I'd look in on how Zigs Was getting on with the pole lathe, and already to wind him up about how it was not working Then I see a Garlic Chopping board:geek: wow Nice one .......He is a craftsman you Know!

Just wondering are you any good at bulk orders :)(all of Gardening-forums.com!)

That looks lovely and smooth! We were visiting my parents at the weekend and my step-dad had a load of Eucalyptus wood for the fire (from a small tree he helped fell) - the texture was so fine! It didn't feel like wood, it was so smooth. Solid as a rock too - they left it too long to split the logs (apparently you're meant to do it really quickly after felling the tree) and it was breaking their tools :eek: Bet it would be a PITA to carve!

Bet it would, bit like Blue Lias Limestone, you can carve it if its freshly quarried, but it just shatters once the quarry sap has dried out.

No turning today, unless I want to be stood in water :rolleyes: Is it ever gonna stop raining? :(

Sealife centre in Weymouth :D

Found where the waters getting in and re mortared it, just need a few days without rain for it to set.

Mopped out again, but don't feel much like working in there at the moment, can feel a visit to the pub coming on :)

Do not sell it. Donate it to a group and take a tidy tax deduction. Be sure to account for the time if construction at your wage level.
