Does anybody know the reason for bad tasting mangoes? For the past few years, we have been getting a good number of mangoes, but most taste sour or medicine-like. Could lack of nutrients be the reason? Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Sounds like a soil deficiency to me. When I lived in Kaneohe, Hawaii , they used to fertilize with the volcanic soil, but it made the fruit taste weird. Started putting potash around the base and next year they were better. That was way back in the '60s though.
