Asian Jumping Worm Question

So if worm castings are all the rage, then why are so many articles disparaging the asian invasion of crazy worms? I read over and over how they devour nutrients from compost but then beyond that cursory sentence I have yet to read an explanation. Are they or are they not bad for compost?
