Anyone grows cereal?

I have a small piece of farm land where I grow cereal,mostly rice and corn. At this time of the year, we are transplanting rice. In our place, everyone is busy in the rice field. We planted corn two months ago and now corn plants are bearing fruits.Does anyone grow rice and corn?

Oh yes, I come from a corn growing zone in the tropics and maize is our stable food used to cook a form of stiff porridge which is consumed with stew. There is also the prescence of good agronomic conditions to grow yellow maize but people generally look down on it as cattle feed despite its high nutritional value. As for rice, its even been grown in dry areas without irrigation courtesy of a new breed called Nerica rice.
