Hello!
I got four little African Violets ( I'll post a picture of the fourth one later. It hasn't been repoted yet). They're really cute:D I have no idea what color are they, and I'm looking forward to seeing them bloom. It's exciting!:D

It's my first attempt at growing African Violets, so every advice is very welcome:) I know they don't need much water.

Thank you Pat:) I'm sure my African Violets will look much prettier when they bloom. I'll keep posting pictures of them:)

Thanks for sharing. When do African violets normally bloom? Can you keep them in bloom all year long? I love the soft petals and dainty flowers. I had a few plants 20 years ago and I think I over watered them.

As far as I know, African Violets can bloom all year long if they get enough sunlight:)
Unfortunately, it's easy to overwater them, they're delicate plants.

One important thing to remember with the African Violets is to water them from the bottom, pour the water in the saucer the pot sits in, do not get water on the leaves, to avoid getting water on the leaves you water from the bottom.

I know that African Violets should be watered from the bottom, but I never do this and my mother didn't do it either. I water them like the rest of my plants and they grow healthy, so I guess it's okay:)

It's pretty, isn't it?:D

I know its leaves shouldn't be wet, but I took this picture right after watering it.
