Hi everyone.
So I have a couple of African violets, that I bought a few months ago and I live in a northerly region (it's pretty dark during the winter). And just as I expected, as soon as the darker time of year came along they stopped blooming. I was expecting this and I'm fine with them being flowerless during the winter.
But, recently, I've been seeing posts on the internet with titles such as "Achieve constant bloom" and "How to make African violets bloom year round".
I don't really understand plants that don't require a rest period, so my question - is it okay to leave them flowerless during the winter? Or should I get a grow light of some kind?
