Why are mushrooms growing inside my thyme? Is this normal? Is this a sign of overwatering?

I found ONE a few hours ago, I go back outside and I see the original one dead, but with 3 more sprouting out of nowhere it seems.

What a coincident! I was just checking my green onions in the container on my deck, and I saw little mushrooms growing too. Mine has a tint of light lavender in color though, but it dies the next day! Not sure if it is good or bad either.

Mushrooms growing in your soil is a sign of very healthy soil. So, it isn't a bad thing, the mushrooms should disappear on their own, but if not, and it bothers you, just pick them out.
