Has anyone had any experience growing Kiwi fruit trees/vines in the UK, or in areas in USDA zone 8a/8b?
Last winter, I bought two, 1-year old winter-hardy kiwi plants, and planted them in large pots in the garden (mainly because I couldn't decide where exactly to plant them; there is space though, for them to be moved straight into the ground eventually). I've looked them up quite a lot online and in gardening books, so they'll most probably end up against my east-facing garden wall, as they apparently don't need full sunlight?
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for me? They won't be producing fruit for another 2, 3 maybe 4 years yet, but what sort of care have you given yours / would you recommend?
