Okay, so we've seen some pretty hideous lawn decorations in another thread. But does anyone like using (tasteful) lawn decorations? I really like pretty stepping stones, like with the colored glass mosaics, and CERTAIN lawn ornaments are pretty cute. Do any of you use lawn decorations?
Im not a fan of gnomes and I often see them everywhere. I do like whats in the picture as it feels like a majestical garden, im sire when ealking through. I love these sort of things and also wooden chimes as we have a tropical garden.

I cannot get behind wind chimes either. Sometimes they aren't in the yard, per se, but on the front porch. Although some have a beauty (unnatural, but pretty), most are gaudy. The clanging sound of metal wind chimes is incredibly annoying to me. I don't understand how people can enjoy the sound of metal banging together? The wooden chimes, however, I enjoy listening to. The hollow sound is calming.

Haha, same here, Primalclaws1974, I can't stand metal wind chimes either. They're so annoying! Listening to the noise they make drives me crazy. Unfortunately, both my sister and my mother put them everywhere around the house:rolleyes:

I cant take the sound of the metal chimes and they actually make my skin crawl with an eerie feel. I visited a friend once that had them on the porch and I felt that I had to leave because it creeped me out so much. It is always in a horror movie I guess thats why it gets under my skin.

The little garden fairy decorations are adorable and I would like to have a little fantasy garden eventually. I think this theme might be going out of style though because I haven't seen many of these pieces in a while. It might be fun to do some recycled deco art too.

I've never seen any fairy gardens in person, Rosyrain. I guess people here don't like them. It's a pity, because in my opinion they're really lovely. Also, fairies need a place to live:)

Hello Fairy Dreamer! I like your avatar:) Is it a picture of one of your fairies? It's cute! How many fairy gardens do you have? Can you show us more pictures of them? I'm sure they're lovely.

Almost all of the objet d'art that I've set in my my garden are either sculpture I've made myself or random found artifacts

There are stepping stones in our lawn from a previous owner, and I have a lot of nice pots. I stand pots on the stones and move them about as they are in season, a pitisporum, a sundance choisia, various lillies, lavender, pansies, etc.

I really must get around to putting in a fairy door before the grand- daughter visits.
