Hi, i need some help with 2 hanging pots of yellow begonias i bought in May of this year. When i bought them from a greenhouse they were so full of blossoms and beautiful but they were in cheap plastic hanging baskets so we transferred them to these round hanging baskets with coco coir linings.

It seems like they are not doing well and not full of blossoms like when i bought them.
They are 'stemmy' and red stems and im not sure whats going on with them.
Can anyone please advise?

Thanks in advance!
Sarahbee

You can cut the leggy stems back. This will encourage new growth.
What you cut off, can be trimmed and used as cuttings.

Oh thank you so much. I was all over online trying to get some understanding about the red "leggy" stems. I just don't understand the growth process. Seems like a tricky plant to get it right.

Thank you Mike. I was wondering because i thought this plant was looking pathetic. So i should cut back all the 'leggy' ones?
