Reminds me of a winter squash or gourd with that thick hide. Immature maybe. It looks very seedy for a veggie so it made me think gourd.

A squash, either the hybrid Grey Griller or it is a Mexican White squash. Taste it. If bitter it is a gourd, if sweet a squash.
