My child thinks he's Bear Grylls and has eaten a leaf - please can someone tell me what kind of plant this is?

My 5 year old decided to eat a leaf today and I have no idea how concerned to be. Please can someone tell me what kind of plant this is?

Not sure what type of shrub that is. Did your little one swallow it? Might be an idea to call 111 for some advice. Good idea to keep hold of a branch in case they need a proper ID. Could you quickly check if it has a milky sap?

Has he gotten sick? If so, the best thing to do would be to take him to the hospital with a piece of the plant he ate rather than asking a forum.

I'd take him to A& E to make sure and take a piece of the plant with you.
