What is the name of this shrub/tree? Can it be planted in full sun, southern exposure? Can it withstand very high temperatures on a daily basis'? Zone 8a

I'd have a wild stab at Laurel or Oleander, but I think we need @Silver surfer :)

Oh dear..I looked, but without flowers/fruits it is really hard to say.

Shrub above has opposite leaves.

It is definitely not Laurel as Prunus laurocerasus has alternate leaves.

Nerium oleander has very narrow leaves so can also be ruled out.
