It's a weevil. Maybe Otiorhynchus. A vine weevil with elbowed antennae. That probably narrows it down a bit. ....and you're right that is a snout. I'm still not sure how big this weevil is. We've got small ones - an inch long max that live in the ground.
I see different ones around my garden, some big some small. They love the sunflowers. There are about 400 different kinds of weevils just here in Ontario and over twice that around Canada so I don't even try to figure out what is what lol. As long as they stay away from my peppers and tomatoes I leave them be but I've never had a problem with that yet.
