High temperatures might be part of the problem but you have some kind of insect eating holes in the leaves. I see quite a few green leaves with holes and all of the yellow leaves have holes. Spray vigorously with spinosad. And it is planted too deep. The root flare must show. If you don't fix it, later on the tree will become stressed and prone to a lot of different diseases and ultimately death.This is a yoshino cheery tree . It has been very hot here,Could that be the reason it is dropping leaves?
