Looking fir a weedkiller that works. I have tried a few different ones the latest being Gallup but none have worked. I have pets so keep them in when I spray. I would prefer a natural one. I've tried salt. Look forward to your replies.

What are you trying to kill? Grasses? Broadleaves? Sedges? Everything?
Different classes need different controls.
Salt is the worst ‘kitchen pesticide’ there is. It doesn’t break down or evaporate. It just sits in the soil, forever, killing plant roots. NEVER USE SALT IN A GARDEN!!!!
The other ’homemade’ brews are somewhat less problematic, but if the label on the product doesn’t have directions for using it in a garden, go to a nursery or garden center and get something that does. READ THE LABEL AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!!!

Depends what and where you are killing weeds, If they are in a bed I dig them out and chuck them on the compost, that's pretty effective. Cracks in paving I run the side of a spade down and then pour boiling water down it to get persistent roots. In the lawn I run the electric rake over clover, but tolerate it to a fair degree, dandelions I have a spray with glyphosate and put a little bit in the middle of each flower taking care not to get it on the grass, the leaves are often hidden, but the flowers are obvious. Sometimes if they have gone roseate I do the leaves, but then it leaves a hole to fill.

I’m in the U.S. and use different herbicides on different weeds. Check labels for proper dosages and effectiveness on different weeds.
