Training a large climbing rose against a fence

My obelisk is very sturdy. Can't find the catalog I got it from. But its about as thick as an index finger, was a little difficult to put together, comes in the mail. But when done sits up well and tall. I have the climber coming up the center of it. As the canes come up I moved them inside the obelisk, when the canes got taller than the obelisk then they were close enough to the top of the deck railing to start draping over the railing. (the plan). Anyway, as its a lovely scented climber, the wind goes from west to east , so sitting on the deck the rose smells drift right across my nose. (the plan). I'll try to get a picture soon. Clipped down the climber some last fall. But right now all loaded with good leaves.
