Greetings, welcome to the Forums.

The leaves and stem of your plant reminds me of some plants in the Acanthus family (Acanthaceae), but I am not certain.

It looks like the plant may be beginning to bloom. Please do post more pics if the plant does flower. Flowers will help identification immensely.

Yes, I think you're right. There is a small flower bud in the center that looks like that of Madagascar Periwinkle (Catharanthus roseus, formerly Vinca rosea). Those leaves are large compared to Catharanthus grown around here, but perhaps a larger-leaved strain is grown elsewhere.
