I like these two studies that show that decaying leaves and live plants release a surprising amount of N2O (Nitrous Oxide), which destroys the ozone layer and is 300-times more potent as a greenhouse gas.

We're all goin' to die:p

This makes my yard is a N2O factory;)

There is far too much uninformed middle-class handwringing about climate change, as the WMO has stated.
Fight pollution, embrace climate change; mankind doesn't cause it and is powerless to prevent it.

It took them 19 years to determine " The system that used both cover crops and compost, however, had significantly increased soil carbon content over the length of the study ". Many of us gardeners have known this forever. Generations have handed down this knowledge.

Cover crops are a powerful tool for gardeners. Perhaps more powerful than composting but when used together form the basis of tremendous soil building.
