I've had my asparagus growing in raised beds for about 8 years. The soil level, in the bed, has dropped almost a foot. I'd like to add to bring it to the top. Do I dig up my asparagus & replant? If yes... when?
TIA

We think it should have been done already, so very soon. It will need to be dug up carefully as the roots grow outwards, and it's best to try not to damage them too much. It is really important for this crop to have really good drainage, so well worth doing, and maybe add some extra grit as well.
Good luck!
