Raspberry Canes No Roots

Hello, I need some advise, I bought some raspberry canes that have no roots at all.

Will they grow? Would really appreciate some advice. Attached a picture for help.

Hello friend, Its time to root them for upcoming Spring. You can snip the ends on a 45 degree angle and dip the ends in rooting hormone. Make sure you have the right end and not up-side down then stick them in a well drained potting mix. Keep the soil mix moist, not wet, don't let it dry out completely. You can put them outdoors in a cold frame or root them indoors until they root then a cold frame. I'm not an expert but Meadowlark and the others are, and will help you so hold on for their input.

Yes, you can get them to root as @oneeye advised above but I would add a word of caution. Raspberries can be invasive.

They are known to spread quickly via their vigorous growth habits and ability to produce runners that take over garden spaces if not constantly managed.

I've grown them in the past but got rid of them because of this tendency and the required constant maintenance. If you don't mind that, they are fun to grow and rewarding.
