A woman I do gardening for has blackberries and raspberries that she has let just grow like crazy. Vines everywhere. They were originally planted in gardening bags. All I can find online tells how to prune true bushes.

Does anyone have advice for how to cut these back, keeping in mind she generally doesn't cut anything but is open to this since pruning will produce more fruit.

I have the same problem with berries. I use a 4’ hedge trimmer to trim them back to a reasonable place .
Then I pull them down with a rake if necessary and take my rider mulcher mower and mow them to nothing. Mulcher mower has two blades that help eliminate the cuttings from having to rake up and removing .

You can safely trim them back to 3' high and remove any dead branches. That's the simplest way to prune them since all you're looking to do is remove the "jungle" theme they're presently in.
