Pest identification

Hello

My name is Chris and I’m a new member. I’m hoping that someone could help me identifying a pest that has taken a fancy to one of my Choisya. I noticed the black soot in early spring, managed to identify it and the cause but I’m having trouble identifying the pest.
I’ve attached the pictures.

Wooly aphids and the black stuff is Sooty Mold

Think you will find the two are linked i.e. get rid of the woolly aphids and the black mould will go.

Thanks Digger, had managed to work out the soot, but was struggling as to the pest. Chuck solved it quickly enough
