Do the judges sample #529-#535 before or after all the others. If before, are they capable of judging anything? If after, do they remember what they have judged?:confused:

Not entered the wine category before but from what I heard, there's not much left after the judging

:D Bit concerned about 532. 1 bottle, any other wine.

They've already covered fruit, veg and flower wines, so gonna have to get creative on that one :cautious:

Back during the late 1960's on my paid vacation to south East Asia we came upon a wine that made even us amicable, kind hearted and without a care in the world. Rice wine. Don't know how it was made but it isn't fruit, vegs or flowers and IIRC tastes similar to but better than dirty socks.

@zigs
Wine can be made from everything. Now I'll remember what it's made of here ...
- from birch sap
- from honey with hops
- from cherry leaves
- from green walnuts ...

If you need recipes, I'll find:D

Mulsum.jpg

Zigs, here is a sure fire winner for category 532--Mulsum! It's a nice white wine fortified with honey. Any bottle of dry white wine with 1/2 c. of honey added and stirred, then served just slightly chilled. If you really want to knock the judges' socks off (and save the socks for future wine making) float a 1/2 inch of red wine on the top. It's scary but delicious!

Think that might fall outside the homemade category MG, but it sounds good :)

I'd considered birch sap and mead @Larisa but I've found birch to be a bit dissapointing and honey really needs a year or more to mature :)

Wouldn't cherry leaves contain cyanogenetic glycosides? :eek:
