Just wondered if any of the experts on here that have planted Ilex Crenata and/or Buxus for that matter find that staggering their lines is preferable?

I found that staggering Yew hedges when young was preferable for density, and wondered if it was similar with these.

Thanks.

I think that when planting hedges with the same species staggering works very well, and gives cover more quickly. The Ilex is great, and tough !

In the case of mixed hedges the same thing certainly doesn`t apply ;)

Edit !! I don`t think you`ll find any experts - we are all still learning :joyful:
