I messed up -.-

Hi all hope your well.

So I just moved into my new home, which had an uneven patch in the garden, which was full of weeds.

I was advised to dig it up, replace the lost soil, abs replant the grass. However I was wondering :

1. if that was the correct call? I have soil to level it and grass pre treatment ready to go

2. What would be the best way to use/ get rid of the mound of soil I have which is full of weeds.

Welcome....Do you do vegetable or flower gardening? If so, make a compost pile with it. Add kitchen scraps, leaves etc for the next year. Keep turning it over, the weeds will die.

Thanks for replying , I’m thinking about planting vegetables next year actually, Is there anything I can do for the smell ?

Keep the pile of earth and use a bit to cover what you put in from the kitchen. You can also use leaves and such put through the lawnmower or grass cuttings. Basically just bury the stuff that is going to smell.
