Wanting to use Cardboard then whatever for Mulch.

I put Cardboard down wet and it gets moisture from ground and rain.

Will a Tiller work the Cardboard up after just a couple months?

I've been using cardboard to help get rid of grass so that I can plant in that spot. Makes the digging up a lot easier, but, I find that it takes, here in South Georgia, more than a year for the cardbosrd to totally deteriorate. So, I remove it when my grass is all dead, turn the grass over with a shovel, then tear up the cardboard ( It's pretty thin and easy to tear up by then) and put it in the compost.
A plus is that the worms love the cardboard !!
