I found pupas on the plant leaves

I found alot of holes on the plant leaves . And i found out two pupas . On of them got out beause of the light of the flash when i took a picture . It could be a moth ? The buterfly that eats cotton ?
Btw when i flashed it eith the camera he came out from his pupa but i didnt look i was too afraid it some some other bug or it will fly directly into my face haha ..
But my mom looked and said it looked black

Probably the best way to identify those pupae is to identify the plant and then look up the insect(s) that use it as a host plant.
