hello, I am an absolute newbie to gardening. We recently bought a house that has some nice decorative plants out front, but they are growing too large and I want tips on trimming them properly so I don’t ruin them. I’ve attached some photos.
1-overall shot
2- this tree/shrub is taking over. Its too tall and too wide. I know I can’t cut the tips of branches so How should I trim?
3- these flowers are beautiful but have spread like weeds all over. Can I just pull them out of places they’re invading?
4- do roses need any special care? Like some sort of support? Any way to turn this into a rose bush if it’s only rooted in one place?
5-I don’t want these reaching above the window sill. How do I control their height?

Please be very detailed because I don’t know any gardening lingo.

Thank you so much!

Number 2 and number 5 pic. just need a good gardening sheer to shape them up, they can stand 1/4 to 1/2 size trim on them. just make them round ish , the other stuff not sure. might let the white flowers continue to roam.

Thank you Esther, so do you mean I can simply cut the branches to the heights I want? There isn’t specific places I need to make the cut?
