How to remove this grass within a rockery.

Hi all,
We have been tasked to maintain a well established rockery and are having difficulty in removing this plant.
If anyone would be able to offer advice on how to get rid, without killing everything else it would be really helpful. It seems almost impossible to remove the roots.

Make up a systemic weedkiller with a bit of wallpaper paste in the water, then you can apply it just to the leaves, either with a cloth or a paintbrush. You will need to be careful, but you don't need to smother the entire plant.

That sounds very easy, wallpaper paste in water applied to the leaves. Really appreciate the advice and we'll certainly try it. Do you know what the grass is called by any chance?

Not just wall paper paste and water. A systemic weed killer, that's one that gets absorbed into the plant. You get it as a concentrate and make it up with water, but add a bit of wallpaper paste to be able to apply it precisely and stop it spreading onto other plants.
You can probably find it as 'Round up' somewhere like Blackbrooks or B&Q.

Sorry different grasses all look pretty much alike without the flower, something coarse, like crow's foot maybe.
