Hello, If I was a plant I would be a rose

Hello, I love being out in the garden. I've tried to grow roses but they end up with hardly any leaves. They're still alive but only just. Sunflowers are much easier. I'm growing one in a bucket. It's over 11ft tall. I've attached a photograph.

! Welcome to the forum. But roses are not difficult. Mine just survive and flower on their own accord.

Don't give up. If I were a plant, I would be a red acer palmatum dissectum.

Mine are growing of their own accord - without any leaves, just stalks. What do you do to make yours grow? I'm looking up red acer palamatum dissectum. It sounds painful!

I know. I'm feeding it rose fertiliser. It doesn't work on my roses which is annoying. Never mind, everything has its uses in the garden!
