I have it for a year and half now. It was good until recently. For a period of time my husband thought I don't give it enough water, so I doubled the amount of water I gave to it, almost too much I think, since one day after watering I noticed the water ran out from the bottom of the pot a lot. Then I stopped giving it too much water, and a couple months (maybe short than that) later the leaves started getting brown spots (it has brown spots before but it was never too bad to concern me). I have hoped it will just go away, but of course it is getting worse. Two other leaves started having those spots too. It had scales a while back and I physically removed them many times this year and it's under control. I haven't had to remove them for almost 3 months now. The winders are facing east and north. There is an AC vent on the floor next to it, but it was at the same spot last winter and it was fine. What is going on? Root rot? Should I repot it? Don't know if it's too cold to do it now. We live in VA.
