My wife and I are staying home. She has giant steaks, potatoe salad and corn on the cob. We are going to eat our way into the New Year. :)
That sounds nice. I just discovered a butcher farm, that sells beef right off the farm, thinking a good steak would be wonderful for me tonight . And husband can have turkey burgers. He does not eat beef. Can roast some potatoes also. Have to drive down to that area today to stop by my other office , so just so happen will be near that farm. Have a nice red wine also.

I think after a while, not that I am saying we are old, but after so many New Years, and been there done it , unless it "really " special, home is the best.

Was thinking---the last time we did anything truly special for New Years Eve was a trip to Newport, Rhode Island. We purchased tickets for a party at the Bellcourt Castle, Black tie affair. Butlers with trays of good stuff abounding. Drinks included. two massive fire places. Two huge floors. Nice sit down meal. It was wonderful. Stayed at a nice B&B. thinking it was 10 years ago.
