Welcome @calpotatoefan14.

If you are just starting out on your gardening adventure, it can be better to start small and gain experience before expanding out. Learn what you like and what space you need first.

I use windowsills for starting seeds, bit warmer than the greenhouse, or rather an improvised cold frame using wood from skips and a polythene cover for the first 30 years, the greenhouse came with retirement and being full time in the garden.
What are you thinking of growing? My advice is start with some runner beans, they are encouraging, the way they grow is like Jack and the beanstalk, you can't buy decent runners, and they fix nitrogen. Otherwise I always say 'Go for things that are cheap.' Expensive plants are not better, they are just dear because they are harder to grow. Also check out the trays outside the supermarket, you can find good stuff sometimes, but also check they have been watered, looking after plants is not on the supermarket checklist it seems.

If your shed isn't heated I would start seeds in the house with grow lights. Seeds need warm soil to germinate, most need at least 68°f, some need even more heat and those you need a heat mat for.

You're too new to need a growhouse. You haven't mastered much yet. Save the growhouse for once you're able to sucessfully propagate most of what you want to grow.

Looking at your user name made me think that if your shed as a decent window it could be a good place to chit potatoes. I started mine a while ago, but in the garden centre yesterday I noticed they had shelves of seed potatoes. Some of the seed companies sell a selection in small quantities which they send out in January. Also if you plant in mid August you can get potatoes from October through to Christmas.

Starting seeds indoors is pretty simple with decent light and warmth. No need for a fancy setup since runner beans grow fast and are a solid choice to start with.
