Gardenia container topiary & dicondra

I had an idea to grow some dicondra ground cover in a pot which already has a gardenia topiary growing. Is this going to work? Anyone with gaedenia knowledge?

Welcome to the forum @Lulu . I cannot see any reason why these two shouldn`t grow together, and the Dicondra is half hardy. I think it would need to be a sizeable pot though, and you would need to pay attention to regular feeding and top dressing to keep both plants happy.
