Feverfew is also known as featherfew. If you decide on growing feverfew directly in the garden, sow the seed in early spring when the ground is still cool.

Feverfew needs full sun with moderate amounts of shade.

Herbalists like it, they say two or three leaves can cure a headache, and it is supposed to alleviate migraine and arthritis. On the other hand it can cause allergic reactions in some people. I am always cautious of these 'Natural' remedies, 'natural' is not always 'good' as some people seem to equate, deadly nightshade, or belladonna, can live up to either name. When opticians need to dilate the eye they use a drop derived from it, but won't kill you. That's true of a lot of drugs, they are purified or artificial forms of natural substances which don't have the nasty side effects that go with the herbal form.
